Update: Jonesboro Police Investigate Murder-Suicide

Officers called to 3100 block of Ashwood Dr. Tuesday morning and later to a traffic stop on Highway 226.
Update (3:40 p.m.):
JONESBORO, AR - A man and teenager are dead in what police are calling a murder-suicide.

KAIT reports the homicide happened Tuesday morning in the yard of a home on Ashwood Drive, leaving a 17-year-old girl dead.

Soon after, a man in his 20's committed suicide after being pulled over by police on Highway 226.

JONESBORO, AR - A shooting investigation is just getting under way.

KAIT reports that officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were called to the Candlewood Estates neighborhood shortly after 10 this morning.

The address is in the 3100 block of Ashwood Drive.

The Jonesboro Sun newspaper reports via Twitter that a man who was a suspect in the case committed suicide by shooting himself shortly after 11 this morning. The paper says it happened after he was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on Highway 226 between Jonesboro and Cash.
