New Report Says Home Sales Up, Prices Down in Arkansas

A realty group says 12 percent more homes were sold in February of this year compared to the same time span in 2013.



LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Arkansas realtors are experiencing an increase in the number of homes sold statewide, according to a new report.

The increase is reflected in data from the Arkansas Realtors Association.

According to the A.R.A., the number of homes sold in Arkansas in February increased by over 12 percent compared to a year ago.

The average price of those homes sold decreased by almost 3 percent.

The average price of the homes sold in the 43-county area surveyed by the Association decreased from $151,342 in February 2013 to $146,902 in February 2014.
