Redfield Police Asking for Help in Bicycle Hit and Run Case

A 56-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck around midnight on River Road, police are looking for a silver or gray vehicle.

REDFIELD, AR -- A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while on a bicycle in Jefferson County.

The 56-year-old man's identity has not been released.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of the vehicle that struck the bicycle.

It happened around midnight in the 400 block of River Road.

A driver noticed the bicycle in the road, then found the injured man.

Redfield Chief Steve McFatridge says the vehicle is either silver or gray.

It is not clear yet whether it is a car or a truck.

The vehicle likely has damage anywhere from the center to the center to the passenger-side corner.

It may also have a broken windshield.
