Two People Die in Road Accidents on Saturday

An Oklahoma man and a man from Mt. Ida were killed in separate crashes.

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Arkansas State Police report two people have died on Eastern Arkansas roads this weekend.

43-year-old Jimmy Williams of Pocola, Oklahoma died in the accident on State Highway 252 and 52-year-old Charles Bradshaw, Jr. died in an accident on State Highway 27.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the pickup driven by Bradshaw partially left the roadway and then over-corrected and overturned on State Highway 27 North in Montgomery County around 6:45 p.m.

Investigators say the car Jimmy Williams was riding in was traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road, over-corrected and rolled several times on State Highway 252 in Sebastian County.

The 23-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were also injured.

The investigations are continuing.
