Update: Oak Street Reopened in Conway after Accident

A tanker carrying diesel fuel wrecked, injuring the driver and spilling fuel onto the road Saturday morning.

CONWAY, AR --Interstate 40 Exit 127 East in Conway has been reopened after emergency crews cleared a tanker truck accident.

A diesel fuel truck overturned around 9:00 a.m.

The driver of the truck was injured, and some fuel leaked onto the road.

It took about six hours to clean up the small spill of diesel fuel.

Only one vehicle was involved.

The driver was taken to a LR hospital for his injuries. 

The Office of Emergency Management and fire department cleaned up the area and another tanker truck retrieved the remaining fuel from the tanker.  

There is no word on what caused the accident
