North Little Rock Interstate 40 Fire
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A trucker is grateful after being flagged down on Interstate 40.
The occupants of a car stopped the tanker to tell the driver his trailer was on fire.
It happened in North Little Rock near the JFK overpass shortly after 10:00 p.m..
The trucker called the driver of the car a "guardian angel".
The car driver says it was his 19-year-old daughter who alerted him to the fire, then they both worked to get the tanker's attention.
The interstate was blocked for a short time while the fire was put out, and emergency workers made sure there was no danger of explosion.
The fire had started near a rear wheel of the tanker trailer.
North Little Rock Police and Fire Crews handled the situation along with the State Police.
