Man Dies in Little Rock Shooting, Police Name Suspect

Officers are looking for Darrell Lamont Freeman, Jr., 21, in the killing of Bernard Sherrod, 20, Monday night at 1701 N. Bryant Street.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man has died in a Monday night shooting and police have released the name and photo of the suspect they're looking for in the killing.

It happened around 7:30 at 1701 N. Bryant Street, just off Cantrell Road on the city's west side.

When police arrived, they found Bernard Sherrod, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound. He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.

Police say the suspect (see photo) in Sherrod's death is Darrell Lamont Freeman, Jr., 21. He is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen in the area of 12th St. and Fair Park Boulevard.

Freeman is 5'11" tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

His last known address is 4224 Cobb Street.

Freeman also has an active misdemeanor arrest warrant for contempt of court, according to police.
