GARLAND COUNTY, AR – A man was airlifted to a local hospital after police say his grandfather shot him in the stomach.
Deputies with the Garland County Sheriff's Office were sent to the 100 block of Mayberry Lane around 8:20 Tuesday night to investigate a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, deputies learned that Garrett Cain, 26, and his grandfather, William Cain, 68, had been arguing in the kitchen when Garrett reportedly threatened William with a knife and charged towards him. That's when the older man fired a shot.
The sheriff's office said the wounded man is expected to survive.
uthorities do not know why the two were in an argument.
