Man's Best Friend Moves Into Fayetteville Veteran's Home

Two four legged friends moved in to the facility and they're building a close bond with the residents.
FAYETTVILLE, AR - Man's best friends have moved into the Fayetteville Veteran's Home and they're building a close bond with those who live there.

The dogs rescued from Little Rock, are named Fred and Ethel.

Administrator Kriss Schaffer says the response from veterans has been overwhelming.

James Allen has lived at the Veteran's Home for a little more than four months.

He says having dogs around reminds him of when he was a kid and allows him to escape the daily routine.

"I've noticed that some of the men that at times kind of felt like giving up, have taken to them. Since they have been here, my morale has, excuse me, has shot up about 150 percent," says Allen.

Allen says he's grateful for their friendship.
