LITTLE ROCK, AR - Road conditions were improving Tuesday afternoon as an ice storm headed out of Arkansas.
As of 2:30, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department's road conditions map noted the following:
- Many icy roads in northern and central parts of the state had turned to slush
- Sleet was still reported on roads in and around Fayetteville, Harrison and east of Jonesboro.
- Ice patches around Pocahontas, Ozark and south of Fayetteville and around Arkadelphia
- Snow south of Mountain Home down to Batesville
Precipitation was expected to keep falling (rain in many areas) and could again turn icy if overnight temperatures dip below freezing as expected.
Caution is urged if you venture out tomorrow morning before temps rise above 32 degrees.
