Morrilton Chamber Still Hopes To Attract New Business After Failed Tax Vote

Item would have generated more than $4 million dollars.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Conway County leaders are researching ways to move forward after losing a recent sales tax vote.

The measure would have provided money to recruit new companies to the area, but voters decided not to approve the item.

Leaders say they must now continue to attract new jobs without the additional revenue.

"We are going to be very competitive looking for those businesses and jobs. It's just going to be a lot more difficult," said Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce leader Brandon Baker.

The tax would have generated more than $4 million had it passed.
