Motorcyclist Killed in Little Rock Accident Identified

Head-on collision with a semi happened Monday afternoon on Sloane Dr. on the city's east side.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a Monday afternoon accident.

Korell Flowers, 31, of Little Rock, died at the scene on Sloane Dr. on the city's east side in an industrial area south of the airport.

According to the accident report, it happened at 1:20 p.m. when the 2006 Suzuki motorcycle Flowers was driving collided head-on with a 2005 Volvo semi driven by James Osborne, 43, of Beebe. Osborne was not hurt in the crash.

Osborne told police he was driving west on Sloane Dr. and turning left into the driveway of a business and did not see the motorcycle until just before it hit his vehicle at a high rate of speed.

A witness told officers he was driving east on Sloane Dr. about a quarter mile from the accident scene at 40 miles per hour when the motorcycle passed him going very fast. He said the bike then got in front of him but could not avoid the impact with the turning truck.

The report notes that Flowers was wearing a helmet.
