Murder Suspect Turns Self In; Charged With First Degree Murder

The suspect wanted for shooting a man on Monday night on N. Bryant Street is now in custody.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man died in a shooting Monday night and police released the name and photo of the suspect they're looking for in the killing. 

The suspect, Darrell Lamont Freeman, Jr., 21 is now in custody. He turned himself in around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night. 

He will be charged with murder in the first degree.

The shooting happened around 7:30 at 1701 N. Bryant Street, just off Cantrell Road on the city's west side.

When police arrived, they found Bernard Sherrod, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound. 

He died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
