Stillwater, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Oklahoma State will lose practice time this season because the program's Academic Progress Rate dropped below the NCAA minimum.

The Cowboys will lose the equivalent of one practice per week this season for failing to have an APR score of 930 over a four-year span, or a score of 940 during a two-year gap.

OK State scored a 929.41 over the last four years.

"We are taking steps to ensure that our APR numbers improve moving forward," Cowboys athletic director Mike Holder said. "We are accountable for what we do and, ultimately, we are here to serve our student-athletes and do our best to keep them on track to be lifelong contributors to society."

The team avoided a postseason ban due to its recent improvement in APR.
