Update: Boy, 9, Killed in Pulaski County Car-Train Accident

Three others in the vehicle were hurt in the Thursday morning accident on Harper Rd. near Highway 365 in Sweet Home.
Update (4:00 p.m.):
PULASKI COUNTY, AR - A 9-year-old boy has been identified as the victim killed in a car-train accident in Sweet Home this morning.

It happened around 8:15 at the crossing on Harper Rd. near where the tracks run alongside Highway 365.

Floyd May was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived on the scene and found the wreckage of a 2012 Chrysler 300 several hundred yards from the point of impact.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says two of the vehicle's four occupants were trapped inside after the accident.

The driver is identified as Corey Sucedric May, 38, of Sweet Home. He was injured in the accident, along with two passengers including a boy, 14 and a girl, 11. There's no word on the extent of their injuries or their current condition.

The PCSO says no charges have been filed, pending completion of the investigation.

Update (9:45 a.m.):
PULASKI COUNTY, AR - A child is reported killed and three other people injured in a car-train accident.

It happened this morning in Sweet Home along Harper Road, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).

The train tracks run alongside Highway 365. Deputies say the impact pushed the vehicle 500 yards down the tracks. 

The train was stopped on the tracks as crews tended to the victims in the vehicle.

The PCSO says a juvenile boy died at the scene. The injured victims are described only as a man, a teen boy and a juvenile girl. The girl was taken away from the scene by Med-Flight. The man reportedly had injuries to his arms and legs and the teen boy suffered back injuries.

No other details have been released about the condition of victims or the vehicle in which they were traveling.
