LITTLE ROCK, AR – According to Our Community, Our Dollars, the organization received enough signatures to place the wet/dry vote on the ballot in Saline County, but not in Craighead and Faulkner County.
In a statement, Jay Allen, president of Our Community, Our Dollars said, “Assuming the issue ultimately makes the ballot, we will now focus our attention on encouraging Saline County residents to get out and vote in support of turning Saline from dry to wet.”
The group did not receive enough signatures in Craighead and Faulkner County. 38 percent of voters in each county must sign a petition to place this matter on the ballot.
