PCSO: Phone Scam Still Going On

One caller gave the following number from their caller ID: 501-209-2283.
PULASKI COUNTY, AR -- A scam the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) originally warned of in August is still occurring and it appears the elderly is the target.

On Friday, the Warrants/Records Division received multiple calls from elderly people asking about a Lt. Brown from the PCSO who had called them and said they have a warrant.

The sheriff's office says they have no Lt. Brown.

One caller gave the following number from their caller ID: 501-209-2283.

The PCSO says it does not operate in this manner, and would not make this type of call as they don't accept credit or debit cards ever. Fines are paid to the court and bonds to bail bondsmen.

Law enforcement warns if you receive a call like this to not respond financially in any way.

The number for the Warrants Division is 501-340-8450 and the main PCSO number is 501-340-6600.
