Police: Woman Stabs Husband to Death at Downtown LR Apartment

It happened just before 7 Friday morning at Buffington Towers on E. 7th Street.
(UPDATE 6:58 p.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police have released the names of the suspect and victim involved in the incident.

Marilyn Patterson, 61, Little Rock allegedly attacked her husband Kenneth Patterson, 61, Little Rock, and then tried to kill herself.

When police arrived on the scene they first spoke with Marilyn Patterson's daughter Kia Ervin, 33, of Little Rock who told police her mother had a very large cut on her wrist and that her father was unresponsive inside the home.

Officers say they found Mrs. Patterson inside the apartment with a very large laceration to her right wrist, and found Mr. Patterson unresponsive in the bedroom of the apartment.

According to the report, MEMS determined that Mr. Patterson was deceased and Mrs. Patterson was transported to UAMS for treatment.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A local man is dead in a morning stabbing incident.

He was allegedly attacked by his wife, who then tried to kill herself by cutting her own wrists, according to police.

It happened just before 7 this morning at Buffington Towers, 224 E. 7th Street.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police have not yet released the names of the man and woman or word on any charges she faces.
