Projected: Griffin Wins GOP Primary for AR Lt. Governor

He's leading in the race over Debra Hobbs and Andy Mayberry.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - FOX 16 News is projecting Rep. Tim Griffin the winner in the Republican primary for Lt. Governor of Arkansas.

He currently leads in the race over Debra Hobbs and Andy Mayberry.

Griffin, of Little Rock, is currently serving his second term as representative of Arkansas’s Second Congressional District. He has served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 17 years, was deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel He also served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas and Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Political Affairs for President George W. Bush.

Griffin's main challenger in November will be Democrat John Burkhalter, a Little Rock businessman.
