(SportsNetwork.com) - Dan Marino, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and former Miami Dolphins quarterback, reportedly filed a concussion-related lawsuit against the NFL last week.

According to multiple media outlets, Marino was one of 15 former players who filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia, joining the nearly 5,000 former players who have claimed the NFL withheld information about the long-term dangers of concussions.

The NFL and the original group of players agreed to a $765 million settlement in August of 2013 after nearly two months of negotiations, but U.S. District Court Judge Anita Brody made the decision in January to withhold approval of the settlement, citing she needed more information from both sides.

No specific symptoms were alleged in the latest lawsuit filed by the 15 former players, including Marino, who spent 17 seasons in the NFL before retiring in 1999.

According to reports, Marino's lawsuit seeks unspecified financial recovery and medical monitoring from the NFL, which has denied the claims that it knowing withheld information about concussions from its players.
