Update: Robbery Suspect Arrested near Chicot Elementary School

Chicot Elementary School was on lockdown Tuesday morning while police took the man into custody from a nearby home.
Update (1:50 p.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police have identified a man arrested in a morning incident that led to the lockdown of an elementary school on the city's southwest side.

Police say Darius Johnson, 28, is the primary suspect in at least two armed robberies in the city. So far, he faces two charges of aggravated robbery. He was arrested at his home on Shady Grove Lane around 11 this morning.

Chicot Elementary conducted a voluntary lock down after they were notified by the police.  Johnson was taken into custody without incident. 

Update (11:45 a.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police were told that two suspects in a Cantrell Shell gas station robbery from last night, lived in a house on Shady Grove Ln. near Chicot Elementary.

The school was put under lockdown as a precaution.

The two suspects surrendered to police and were arrested at the home.

SWAT was called to the scene but was never used.

We do not yet have the names of the suspects.

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Chicot Elementary School is under lockdown after a robbery suspect from yesterday barricaded himself inside a house on Yorkwood Dr. in Little Rock which is near the school.

Police have been staged at the school as a precautionary measure.
