Searcy Police: Two Little Rock Men Caught Breaking into Vehicles

Monday morning incident happened at the Ridge Apartments on Quality Drive.
SEARCY, AR - Two Little Rock men have been arrested for breaking into vehicles at an apartment complex.

The Searcy Police Department says officers were called to the Ridge Apartments on Quality Dr. just after midnight Monday.

That's where a report stated that two men wearing dark clothes were breaking into vehicles.  

When officers arrived, they saw one of the suspects walking away from a parked car and trying to get into a green SUV. As officers approached the man, he ran, but was quickly caught and taken into custody.

While officers were taking the first suspect into custody, they saw the green SUV leaving the parking lot of the apartment complex and made a traffic stop.

The suspects are identified as Turod Jacobs, 21, and Kristopher Kalson, 27.

After taking Kalson into custody, police say they found a .9mm pistol in his possession, which had been reported stolen in Conway.

A second pistol was also found on the parking lot near where Jacobs was arrested. Searcy Police say the .45 caliber handgun had also been reported stolen in Conway.

Jacobs and Kalson were both booked into the White County Jail on $20,000 bond.

Kalson faces charges of Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Breaking or Entering, Theft by Receiving, and Theft of Property.

Jacobs faces charges of Fleeing on Foot, Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, Breaking or Entering, Theft by Receiving, and Theft of Property.
