Second Escape for Logan County Jail Inmate

Gary Patrick Topham, 49, got out of the jail in Paris on Monday. He had also escaped back in November.
PARIS, AR -- Authorities are searching for an inmate who has escaped from the Logan County Detention Center for the second time in nearly four months.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) says Gary Patrick Topham, 49, escaped around noon on Monday while awaiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Topham (see photo) is 6'0" tall and weighs about 165 pounds.

He was last seen wearing his black and white striped jail issued uniform and orange sandals.

Topham's last escape from the jail was back on November 4.

At that time, the LCSO said he was being held for failure to appear in circuit court on drug charges, and also faced new drug charges.

Authorities encourage anyone who sees Topham to call 9-1-1 or call (479) 963-3271 if they have any information.

The details of the escape are still under investigation.
