Volunteers Remove Massive Pile Of Trash In Fourche Creek Ahead Of Earth Day

Volunteers clean up 25 cubic yards of trash in Fourche Creek on Saturday
LITTLE ROCK, AR- Volunteers across Little Rock got a jump start on Earth Day this weekend by cleaning up a massive pile of trash sitting at Fourche Creek.

Dozens of people came out on canoes, boats, a 4-wheeler and bags in hand to collect a number of trash and recyclables found in the creek.

10 cubic yards of trash is going to the landfill, and 15 cubic yards of recyclables were salvaged. In all, 25 cubic yards of material will no-longer cause further harm to Fourche Creek, according to the Meadowcliff/Brookwood Neighborhood Association.

Keep Little Rock Beautiful, Audubon Arkansas, Meadowcliff/Brookwood Neighborhood Association, and other volunteers took part in the effort.
