Team Rubicon Honors Vilonia Couple Who Lost Two Sons In April Tornado

Daniel and April Smith and their two boys honored with a FOB name dedication ceremony.
CONWAY, AR- A tearful ceremony honors a Vilonia couple who lost their two boys and home in the April 27th tornado. Team Rubicon renamed its Ford Operating Base name in honor of a family who's gone through so much.

Daniel and April Smith held hands as they watched Team Rubicon lower the American Flag. The emotional presentation, brought them to tears.

"This is an honor that they're being remembered here and they're being remembered every where," says April Smith.

The couple, surrounded by loved ones, speak out about learning to live again, after their boys Cameron and Tyler died in last month's tornado.

"As a parent, knowing my kids are in the best hands ever and safe, I just have to endure what's best for us because we are walking miracles," says April.

The Smiths admit, they never should've survived themselves, but they're here, and they're standing tall. Every day, every hour, every minute is a battle.

"To have each other and to have God that's the only thing I can think of that's the only way we're waking up every day and being as strong as we possibly can be," says Daniel Smith.

As the couple sits together holding hands, they ask everyone to hold their loved ones a bit tighter tonight, because the worst could happen at any time.

"When he sits next to me, we're just one. So I'm very thankful every day that he wasn't taken," says April.

Seeing the amazing outpouring of community support has kept Daniel and April going each day.

"I'm sad, I miss them every moment , but I know where they are and I know I'll see them again," says April.
