Las Vegas, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - UNLV forward Roscoe Smith will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2014 NBA Draft.
Smith made the announcement Friday and said he intends to hire an agent.
"I am ready to take the next step in my career, but I love UNLV and will always be a Runnin' Rebel," Smith said. "I am planning to finish my classes this semester in addition to preparing for the draft."
Smith, listed at 6-foot-8, 215 pounds, was sixth in the nation in rebounding (10.9 rpg) and averaged 11.1 ppg. His 16 double-doubles ranked 10th in the country.
Smith transferred from Connecticut following the 2011-12 campaign and was a starter on the Huskies' 2011 national title team.
