Update: Former Bentonville School Employee Accused of Rape Pleads Not Guilty

Police first arrested Ali M. Matar, 21, back in May, in connection with raping a 5-year-old student at R.E. Baker Elementary.
BENTONVILLE, AR (KNWA)- A former school employee, accused of sexually assaulting three young girls left in his care while at school, faced a judge today in Benton county.

Ali Matar, Jr., 21, pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of sexually abusing 3 students. Police first arrested Matar back in May, in connection with raping a 5-year-old student at R.E. Baker Elementary.

A few days later, he was charged in connection with sexually abusing two more 6- year-old girls at the same school.

Matar now faces 2 counts of rape and 1 count of sexual assault. His next trial date is set for January 27th.
