Volunteers Travel Hundreds Of Miles To Feed Tornado Victims

A church group, visits from Texas, to feed tornado victims BBQ.
MAYFLOWER, AR --  A group of volunteers drove up from Flower Mound, Texas to feed tornado victims and volunteers in Faulkner County.

The group -- called Holy Cow Smokers -- set up at the Peace Lutheran Church in Conway over the weekend.

Volunteers are expected to BBQ around 2500 meals by tomorrow.

A tornado -- in the area on April 27th -- leveled dozens of homes and damaged many more.

That's why the Texas group wanted to help.

They also fed folks after the Moore, Oklahoma tornado last year.

Steve Frundt, with Holy Cow Smokers, said, "Our passion is BBQ and we like to help people and show God's mercy and Jesus' love to people that are in need."

The Holy Cow Smokers will be back at Peace Lutheran Church tomorrow serving up lunch to volunteers and victims.
