Entergy Crews Continue Working On Power Outages

Power outages still around the state after an ice storm hits Arkansas.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Entergy officials expect most of the lights to be back on by the end of the day for the nearly 3,000 customers still without power.

A large portion of those outages are in Russellville, Forrest City, Blytheville and Marion.

Power crews prepared for much more damage...expecting some outages to last 5-7 days.

But, they say the storm wasn't nearly as powerful as expected.

Brady Aldy, with Entergy, said, "The crews performed very well. As I think you're aware we brought in a number of external resources and actually had to mast an army, so to speak, of around 8,000."

Entergy officials haven't figured out the cost of this ice storm, but expect it to be a large bill.

Money from a storm reserve fund will help to offset the costs.
