Harding Student Killed in Car Accident

Harding University is mourning the loss of a student killed in a wreck on Interstate 30.
ARKADELPHIA, AR--Harding University is mourning the loss of a student killed in a car accident Saturday. Through its website and social media, the school is reporting one of its students died in a car wreck on Interstate 30 Saturday.

Harding is preparing a memorial Sunday, January 12th to honor graduate student Lauren Bump, murdered on winter break in Texas.

Student killed in auto accident

Kailey Massey (20), a student at Harding University, died early Saturday evening, Jan. 11, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The accident occurred on Interstate 30 in Clark County in Southwest Arkansas. Massey was returning to campus for the spring semester from her hometown in Spring, Texas.

No further details of the accident are known at this time.

Massey was a junior communication sciences and disorders major at the University and a member of Delta Nu women’s social club.
