Mississippi Fugitives Caught in Brinkley

BRINKLEY, AR -- Two Mississippi fugitives have been taken into custody by Arkansas State Troopers and a U.S. Marshal.
 
26-year-old Cody A. Eggemeyer, and 33-year-old Michael D. Manis were arrested without incident about 3:15 p.m. Sunday outside the Crown Inn on North Main Street in Brinkley.
 
Both men are wanted in connection with a crime spree that began Christmas Day and continued into the next day, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Eggmeyer and Manis will face charges of kidnapping, home invasion, robbery and gunfire directed at police officers in Sardis and Batesville, Mississippi. 

The two are also suspected of an armed robbery in West Helena on December 26th.
 
The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to work with Mississippi and federal authorities in the investigation.
