LITTLE ROCK, AR -- In a recent blog post by Movoto Real Estate's research site, they displayed a list of the least safest mid-sized cities in the U.S.

After taking a look at the 101-201 most populated cities in the U.S., Little Rock ranked last, making it the least safe mid-sized city in the country.

Movoto ranked Little Rock based on numbers from the FBI's most recent crime data including burglary, theft, murder, rape, robbery and assault.

Marilyn Abrams lives in downtown Little Rock, and she said her grandson was shot and killed last year in the Capital City.

"Carjacked, put out and shot in the back," she said.

Despite her connection to crime in Little Rock, she said she believes in her city.

"I still think Little Rock is safe," she said. "I think people are more aware now of what's going on and where they are, I think the outrage is there for people like my grandson and other children that are killed, so I think we are working on it."

But she added she hopes next year's rankings are different.

"We need to get off this list, that's for sure," Abrams said.
