MORRILTON, AR -- High school football teams and their fans are preparing to descend on War Memorial Stadium for the state championship games.
For one team, it's the chance to bring home a piece of hardware they haven't gotten in forty years.
The Morrilton High Devil Dogs are taking on the Batesville Pioneers in the Class 5A championship game Saturday.
It's been a lot of excitement at the school and throughout the community.
The last time Morrilton won the championship was in 1973.
Former Devil Dogs who played on that team offer advice to the team.
"Never quit until you get to the fourth quarter. Leave it all on the field, and don't quit just because you get behind in the first quarter, second quarter or whatever. It's a full ball game," said Dennis Surratt.
The game between Morrilton and Batesville is at noon.
