Pryor: “Our Men and Women in Uniform Should Receive Benefits They’ve Earned”

Arkansas's senior U.S. senator makes speech on Capitol Hill.
WASHINGTON D.C. (News release) - U.S. Senator Mark Pryor today spoke on the Senate floor about his efforts to correct an inequity in the budget agreement and ensure our future military retirees receive the benefits they’ve earned.

“This budget agreement is a positive step forward, but it’s not perfect—especially when it comes to the cuts made at the expense of our men and women in uniform,” Pryor said. “Singling out our hardworking military members and their families wouldn’t just be unfair, it would be wrong. We can fix this. All we have to do is pass a common-sense provision to ensure our heroes receive the benefits they’ve earned.”
