The North Little Rock School District released the following statement ahead of the winter weather:

Mr. Rodgers has been in contact with the National Weather Service concerning the current and potential bad weather for tonight. They are not too concerned with the band of sleet moving through the area at this time as it should not cause problems on the roadways. However, tonight is different. A real possibility exists that freezing rain could occur sometime tonight.

Mr. Rodgers along with the other local superintendents are keeping a close watch on the weather. We will keep you updated by email, our NLRSD Facebook and Twitter.
