SEARCY, AR -- Police have called off the investigation into a Thursday afternoon shooting incident after the victim decided to quit cooperating.

Although they are no longer investigating the shooting, both the victim and one of the suspects have been jailed on parole violations.

According to the Searcy Police Department (SPD), witnesses said two men walked up to a white vehicle in a parking lot and started unloading multiple rounds into the car around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, prompting the car to drive away. Police were later able to take two suspects into custody.

SPD says 23-year-old Dylan Jones, of Judsonia, was shot in the leg in the incident, but has since told investigators that he didn't want to cooperate any longer.

Jones was then taken to the White County Detention Center on warrants for a parole violation, residential burglary, and theft of property.

SPD says 22-year-old Samuel Lunnie, of Searcy, was one of the suspects taken into custody Thursday. After closing the investigation, Lunnie was arrested for a parole violation warrant.

The other suspect is a juvenile, according to police.
