WHELAN SPRINGS, AR --  A volunteer fire chief charged with felony rape of a minor has pleaded not guilty in court.

Sam Lemay, 73, of Whelan Springs, is accused of multiple incidents that date back to 2009.

WHELAN SPRINGS, AR - Nearly a month after being arrested and accused of raping a minor, a volunteer fire chief in Clark County is now charged in the case.

The Clark County Prosecutor has charged Sam Lemay, 73, of Whelan Springs, with felony rape of a minor.

Lemay is accused of multiple incidents reported to date back to 2009, with the most recent allegedly happening last month.

An arrest affidavit says Lemay admitted to the offense in a recorded interview with his investigators.
