Walgreen Co. has completed its $438 million purchase of a regional drugstore chain that operates in several states under the USA Drug, Super D Drug and Med-X names. Walgreen plans to close 27 USA Drug stores in Arkansas acquired in the deal.

Walgreens will close 27 USA Drug stores in Arkansas, including 14 in the Little Rock area in the next 60 days. The announcement coming after Walgreens acquired the Pine Bluff based drugstore chain this summer.
