An 80 year Arkansas tradition, gone for 8 months, is back. Yarnell's ice cream based in Searcy is coming back to store shelves next week.

Schulze & Burch Biscuit Co. has purchased the former Searcy-based Yarnell Ice Cream Company plant, equipment and intellectual property including trade names and formulas.

The company that bought Yarnell's plant says it will produce ice cream in the Searcy plant.

A federal bankruptcy judge ordered all real and intellectual property of Yarnell's Ice Cream Inc. be auctioned off. Many buyers say they got a bargain.
