LITTLE ROCK, AR - Another winter weather storm system is forecast to bring snowfall to Arkansas today and tonight. Click here for the latest on the forecast from the FOX16 weather blog.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says snow will develop this morning and afternoon with the heaviest precipitation in the late afternoon and evening hours.

The snow should taper off during the late night hours.

With cold ground temperatures, snow will likely have no problem accumulating quickly. That means there will likely be travel issues by sunset, and problems with the evening commute as road conditions worsen.

One to three inches of accumulation will be possible with locally higher amounts. The heaviest snow is expected in areas from near Mount Ida to Conway to around Newport.

Looking ahead to next week, another system is expected to again bring the possibility of wintry precipitation. There are several factors that can change with this forecast, so be sure to monitor the latest forecasts as details become more clear.
