Snowfall Totals Could be Lower Than First Expected

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The ever-changing forecast for a winter storm headed for Arkansas is now reducing snowfall expectations.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said this morning that while data is still rolling in, the forecasted amounts have been lowered slightly with 1 to 3 inches of snow expected across the central third of Arkansas into the southeast counties tonight.

The NWS says south of the snow, freezing rain is expected toward the Louisiana border. Spotty tenth to quarter inch ice accruals are not out of the question. Precipitation should wind down early on the 11th.
