Rebecca joined the station’s news team in August of 2017.
A San Antonio native, Rebecca is excited to be back in the Natural State and keeping the “queso” vs. “cheese dip” argument alive. “It’s queso,” she says.
Before moving to Little Rock, Rebecca was the solo morning anchor at KMID in Midland, TX for three years. She created a morning segment called “Living Well with Local 2” where she highlighted different health initiatives and businesses in West Texas.
During her time in Midland/Odessa, she completed a health fellowship program with the Association of Health Care Journalists. She remains a member of the AHCJ.
Rebecca is no stranger to Arkansas. She worked at our sister stations KNWA & Fox 24 in Northwest Arkansas for two years. From weekend and morning reporter, to weekend and fill-in main anchor and producer, she tried her hand at nearly every news position.
Her first job out of college was a multimedia journalist for KWKT Fox 44 in Waco, TX. (This was pre-Chip and Joanna Gaines).
Don’t hold it against her; she’s a proud Texas Christian University Horned Frog. She graduated with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Sociology. She is also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
When she isn’t working, Rebecca loves spending time with her husband, co-worker, native Arkansan (and former boss) Tyler, and their fur baby Edie.
