Tylisa Hampton

Tylisa Hampton joined FOX 16 News in July 2022 as a General Assignment Reporter. She was born and raised in the capital city of Arkansas and she’s excited to be back home!

Tylisa previously worked at CBS 4 and KVEO, the CBS and NBC affiliate in the Rio Grande Valley at the U.S. and Mexico border for two years. While there, she was promoted to Weekend Anchor/Reporter where she covered breaking news and immigration. Including presidential and congressional visits to the U.S. and Mexico border. 

She also gave in the field coverage of the Migrant Protection Protocols program, Tropical Storm Beta in Houston for CW affiliate KIAH-TV and the Texas winter freeze.

Tylisa received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at the University of Central Arkansas. Aside from working at her campus news station, Tylisa took on internships where she covered Supreme Court rulings in Washington D.C. with To The Contrary on PBS. Tylisa also interned at KARK and FOX 16.

Tylisa is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, The Theta Mu Chapter. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels, traveling, hiking, adventurous outings, and Arkansas Football, Go Hogs!
