3 Arrested for Meth after Accidental 911 Call Alerts Hot Springs Authorities

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) Dispatch received an accidental 911 call on Oct. 7 from a man who was overheard bragging about stealing from various businesses in Hot Springs and making a drug deal to purchase methamphetamine. 

By utilizing Smart 911 system and due to officers knowledge of what vehicle that the suspect was in, officers were able to locate Robert Dark, 54, of Hot Springs, at an Exxon located at Grand and Central Ave. 

According to a news release, two other people were in the vehicle with Dark, Wendi Barfield, 43 and Oceaona Robinson, 29, both of Hot Springs. 

As officers approached the vehicle they saw Dark throw a bag under the car. 

All three face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dark was charged with four counts of possession. 

Oceaonna Robinson was also charged with two counts of Failure to Appear and Fail to Comply. 

All three suspects are currently being held in Garland County Detention Center. 

Barfield’s bond is set at $5,000. Robinson’s bond is set at $11,000, and Dark’s bond is set at $12,500.
