NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR — It will be six months Friday that someone randomly shot an innocent woman in her car.
Samantha Olson’s daughter, not even a year old, was in the backseat when it happened.
Not a day goes by where Eric Olson doesn’t think about his wife whom he calls the love of his life.
This Valentine’s Day, will be his first without her.
“My heart has a little more sting to it, that it’s also the six-month anniversary, so to speak,” Olson said.
Olson says he thought he would know more or there would be an arrest by now, and the fact that there’s not, makes his heart heavy.
“Every day that goes by, every little news bite that I see, I hope it’s something pertaining to this case, that something has broken, an arrest has been made,” Olson said.
Police say someone shot Olson at the intersection of JFK and McCain in North Little Rock on Aug. 14, 2013.
It happened in daylight, with witnesses around.
Police even got a surveillance photo of the shooter’s truck.
But still, there’s no arrest.
Olson says his 17-month-old daughter Linnea deserves to know the truth.
“She has a lot of words she says and every once and awhile she says mommy,” Olson said.
It’s only a matter of time, before Olson says Linnea will start asking questions.
That’s why he so desperately wants the person who left her without a mom to come forward.
He called the shooter, “a coward because they’re hiding.”
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a maroon F-150 Super Crew cab truck.
