ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) – Former Gateway Police Chief and convicted murderer Grant Hardin pleaded guilty Thursday to the 1997 rape of a Rogers school teacher.
Hardin is also convicted of the 2017 murder of James Appleton.
Hardin pleaded guilty to two counts of rape. Hardin was sentenced to 25 years for each count of rape.
A DNA sample was taken from Hardin while in jail for the murder. The sample found DNA evidence linked back to the 1997 case.
