LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A man lost $20 to a robber armed with a knife in downtown Little Rock over the weekend.

A Little Rock Police Department report states it happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday in the Markham and Main area.

A 22-year-old man from England (Lonoke County) told police he was walking near a restaurant across from the Statehouse Convention Center when the suspect approached him.

The victim told officers the suspect said “If you don’t give me money, I’ll stab you,” the report said, and he gave him a $20 bill.

Officers found a man matching the description of the suspect and noted he had a $20 bill on him but he was not charged, according to the report. The man was found to have a warrant for his arrest for absconding but the report noted the jail would not accept him on the absconding charge alone.
