HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- Police are searching for the person who stole an ATM from the Combined Federal Credit Union.
Hot Springs Police say they were called to the credit union on 203 Nash Street around 5:15 Thursday morning. Officers say when they got to the credit union, the ATM was missing, and there was extensive damage to the roof over the ATM.
Witnesses told police that a suspect used a forklift to remove the ATM and load the machine to the back of a U-Haul truck.
Police say they suspect fled before officers arrived.
Around 10:40 Thursday morning, investigators say they were called to Hot Springs High School, behind a baseball field, where a stolen U-Haul truck and forklift were found, along with the stolen ATM.
Officials say the ATM had been forced open and the money was taken.
