LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. – A statewide manhunt that started in Lonoke County over the weekend ended Tuesday evening.

According to investigators, Travis Tacker was taken into custody by Arkansas State Police in Faulkner County on Highway 65, just north of Conway.

Investigators say that police in Ward were investigating a home invasion and theft of a vehicle, the suspect matched the description of Tacker.

That stolen vehicle was later recovered in North Little Rock with an armed carjacking reported in proximity shortly after. That vehicle was the one that troopers say Tacker was driving when he was arrested outside Conway.

Tacker was wanted in connection to a triple shooting that happened in Ward Saturday that left one person dead.

Numerous agencies were involved in the search, including the U.S. Marshals, the Arkansas State Police and the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office.
