Fearless 40: Des Arc Eagles

Fearless 40
The Des Arc Eagles, one would assume they have a bone to pick with Junction City.

The Eagles fell to the Dragon’s 48-0 in last year’s quarter finals and suffered a 60-0 loss to Junction City in state championship back in 2013

Over the last two seasons, Des Arc has 21 wins and brings back 15 starters–8 on offense and 7 on defense being big up front.

“I think we’ve got a lot of size that’s going to be our advantage,” said head coach Drake Widener.

“We average probably about 285 (pounds) across the front but that being said, We’ve got some really good skill players.

“We’ve got our two returning running backs, both of our wings are back, both of’em are really good players and we’ve got a senior fullback that’s got some experience rushed for over a hundred yards against Junction City a couple years ago so I feel like overall we’ve got a lot of strong points throughout the team.”
